An Exploration of Sound
For one night during New York Fashion Week, The Gathering took over Silence Please and brought over 200 people from across fashion, music, art, design, media, hospitality, photography, and culture into the same room.
The idea was never to create another event just for the sake of having one.
Fashion Week is already full of places to be. Shows, dinners, brand events, launches, and everything that comes after. What felt more interesting was creating a room that gave people a reason to stay.
The Gathering was built around sound, but not only music. The night moved through conversation, ambient recordings, laughter, voices, movement, and the natural noise of a room slowly becoming more connected. Sound became a way of shaping the atmosphere without controlling it.
There was no stage and no single moment everyone was waiting for. The experience was the room itself.
For us at 713, that was what made the night important.
We spend so much of our time documenting the people shaping culture. The Gathering gave us the chance to do something different and help bring those people together in real life.
Designers met photographers. Artists met editors. Filmmakers met musicians. People who had only known each other through social media finally spoke face to face. Some conversations lasted a few minutes. Others continued long after the event ended.
That was the purpose.
The goal was never traditional networking. It was about creating an environment where connection could happen without being forced.
Hospitality played a major role in making that possible. Food, drinks, music, design, and the space itself all worked together to make the room feel comfortable enough for people to stay, move around, and connect naturally.

What started as an idea about slowing Fashion Week down for a few hours became something much bigger once people entered the room.
Over two hundred people came through, but the night never felt like it was about numbers. It felt like one shared environment built from hundreds of conversations happening at once.
That is what The Gathering is meant to be.
A place where people from different parts of culture can meet without needing a reason beyond curiosity.
A place where the people matter more than the programming.
A place where something unexpected can begin.
