713 Magazine’s Artist of the Week: LilChika

This week, our artist spotlight turns to LilChika, an artist building one of the underground’s most colorful and imaginative worlds.

Over the past few years, LilChika has developed a sound and identity that feel increasingly distinct. His music moves between melodic rap, distorted production, emotional writing, and high energy records, giving him the freedom to shift moods without losing his personality. Projects like Diary of a Rockstar, Punks & Lovers, and GEEK USA show that progression, with each release bringing more confidence to both the music and the world surrounding it.

What makes LilChika especially interesting is the way he approaches visuals. His music videos are filled with saturated color, heavy visual effects, layered graphics, strange environments, and fast edits that make each release feel like more than a song. The videos are playful, chaotic, and full of ideas, often feeling like direct extensions of his imagination.

That same creative instinct can be seen in his fashion, campaign imagery, and the language surrounding his music. Bright styling, exaggerated silhouettes, humor, recurring symbols, and a fan community known as the Geekers have all become part of a larger identity. Nothing feels separated. The music, visuals, clothing, and personality all contribute to the same world.

GEEK USA feels like the clearest expression of that vision so far. The project brings together the sounds and ideas LilChika has been developing while expanding the mythology around his work. Rather than feeling like a collection of unrelated songs, it operates as another chapter in a universe that continues to grow with every release.

LilChika is still early in his story, but he already understands the importance of creating something recognizable. His work stands out because it is imaginative, unpredictable, and deeply personal without feeling forced.

That ability to think beyond the music and turn every release into a larger creative statement is what makes LilChika 713 Magazine’s Artist of the Week.
